The System Recovery Utility menu is intended to receive device information, change STB boot loader settings, update software, change video output mode and graphics resolution, reset STB to the factory settings, recover the system, and for other auxiliary functions.

Making changes to the System Recovery Utility menu is not recommended without a proper understanding of its settings and the consequences of changing them.

Accessing the System Recovery Utility menu

  1. Power off the STB (Set Top Box/MAG Box) by unplugging it.
  2. Push and hold the Menu button on your remote (make sure you are pointing it straight at the STB).
  3. Power the STB back on while still holding the Menu button
  4. Wait for ~10 seconds until you see the System Recovery Utility menu.
  5. Release the Menu button.
